Some History
My first real experience working on cars was with my father at the house I grew up in Upper Marlboro Md. He started teaching me the basic things, how to change oil and perform brake service. The very first time I changed oil with him I dropped the old oil filter when removing and we both watched as it rolled down the driveway spilling oil until it stopped! That was around the time of the Exxon Valdez incident and he just laughed and said "Well, I guess we have our own little Valdez spill to clean up."
Dad bought me my first car when I was about 15 years old , a 1970 1/2 Camaro for $1500.00. (I am currently in the process of completely restoring that car.) After high school I took a whole semester at Catonsville Community College on drive trains and started my career in the automotive industry shortly there after. It was always my goal to own a service facility and in June of 2007, my wife & I bought Challenger Auto & Truck Service, which had been my place of employment for the last 7 years.

Moment of Truth
After about 5 years in the industry, I was disappointed at the low public opinion of technicians and the importance of our jobs. It was very obvious that vehicles were becoming more sophisticated and harder to diagnose, repair and service. I was also disappointed in how my industry delivered client service. A friend of mine told me about this article in Time magazine involving interviews with people & asking them what was more important to them....having an honest, trustworthy mechanic, lawyer, or doctor, and the overwhelming answer in the article, the mechanic. It became obvious to me that a change was needed across the board with this industry and it should start with us.
A New Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple: Deliver the highest quality client service and noticeably improve the drivability, performance & reliability of their vehicles by taking the time to properly service, maintain, and repair them. We want our clients to actually notice a difference in their vehicles and in the service they receive from the moment they call or walk through our door. It is our goal to develop lasting relationships with our clients based on confidence, trust, and friendship.
